Sarajevo International Airport received an e-mail stating that explosive devices had been placed at the airport.
“An anonymous tip was received via e-mail to the Public Enterprise Sarajevo International Airport about explosive devices placed on the airport’s premises. Immediately after receiving the information, a crisis action plan was activated,” said Sarajevo International Airport.
They announced that all competent services on the ground are acting in accordance with their duties, and all the necessary measures provided for by valid security protocols are being implemented.
“Sarajevo International Airport cooperates closely with the competent security agencies and takes all necessary measures to ensure the safety of all those present at the airport. Citizens are asked for their understanding and patience while the planned procedures are carried out,” they added.
