The Start of geological Research on the impact of Nuclear Waste Storage near the BiH Border

In Novi Grad, the start of geological research in the lower reaches of the Una River will be officially started today with the aim of defining the impact of the planned storage of radioactive waste at the Trgovska Gora location, it was confirmed by the Republic Institute for Geological Research of the Republic of Srpska.

The visit to the location where research is being carried out is planned after a meeting with the Mayor of Novi Grad, Miroslav Drljač.

Field research in the area of ​​the municipality of Novi Grad regarding the impact of the planned construction of a radioactive waste storage facility began in October last year.

Croatia plans to store the radioactive waste from the Krško Nuclear Power Plant as well as the existing institutional waste at the Trgovska gora location in the municipality of Dvor, in the immediate vicinity of Novi Grad.
