The third edition of the Stojcevac 5K humanitarian race, organized by the Municipality of Ilidza, will take place today, June 22nd, 2024, starting at 6:30 p.m.
Similar to last year, the starting and finishing point of the race, which earned itself the title of the largest 5K race in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) last year, will be at the well-known picnic area in Ilidza.
“Once again, the humanitarian race has attracted a large number of participants. We rightfully hope that this year’s edition will surpass the previous ones. It’s particularly pleasing that this year, safety conditions for the participants have been improved – unlike the first two editions, this year all runners will be welcomed with a new, asphalted, and renovated track,” said the mayor of Ilidza, Nermin Muzur.
Set in the unique ambiance of the renovated and revitalized Stojcevac, the race will be just part of a rich day-long sports and entertainment program. The youngest visitors to Stojcevac will enjoy numerous free activities.
From 10 a.m., the “Family Day” begins, offering children a wide range of entertaining activities, lasting until 3 p.m.
Available for play and entertainment for some time now are basketball and mini football courts, and recently added sand volleyball courts and table tennis tables. Following the race, an exciting music program featuring DJ Mahir Beathouse awaits.
With the support of race sponsors, valuable and interesting prizes are ensured for the fastest male and female participants, as well as for the fastest Ilidza residents. There are also prizes for the youngest and oldest race participants.
For those planning to arrive at Stojcevac by car, it is important to note that parking within Stojcevac will be closed, and access to the picnic area by car will be possible until 5:30 p.m. Free parking will be provided for all visitors arriving by car opposite the entrance to the picnic area, Klix.ba reports.
