The High Court in Belgrade scheduled next week the trial of Danet Bajić and Miodrag Knežević, accused of crimes committed in the area of Prijedor in 1992, after the case was handed over to the Serbian judiciary.
The High Court in Belgrade replied to Detektor that the main trial is scheduled for July 15.
Bajić and Knežević were accused of crimes against humanity committed against the Bosniak and Croat population in the area of Prijedor in 1992, but they were unavailable to the Bosnian judiciary.
Detektor previously reported on the intentions of the BiH Prosecutor’s Office to propose transferring the case to trial in Serbia.
According to the indictment, they participated in the illegal deprivation of liberty of more than 120 civilians, who were imprisoned and tortured first in the Home in Miska Glava, and then in the stadium in Ljubija. It is added that at least 100 civilians were taken to the Kipe-Redak locality, where they were killed.
According to the indictment, Bajić was the commander of the Public Security Station in Ljubija, as well as a member of the Crisis Staff, and Knežević was a member of the military-police forces.
