Thermal Power Plant “Stanari” Might Be Put Into Probation in 2015

The Minister of Planning, Civil Engineering and Ecology of RS, Srebrenka Golić expects that the thermal power plant “Stanari” to be put into probation in 2015 and in 2016 to get the necessary license. This is the first thermal power facility after the war in RS. The minister expressed her satisfaction that in the construction project are  engaged local companies which employ about 250 people.

The “EFT Mine and Thermal Power Stanari” with the Government of RS has signed in February 2008, the  concession contract for the construction and use of thermal power plants “Stanari”.

“EFT Mine and Thermal Power Stanari” with the company “Dongfang Electric” in May 2010 signed the contract for the equipment delivery and for the construction of thermal power plants “Stanari”, which came into force on the 21st December 2012 and will last approximately 45 months. The value of the contract is approximately $ 400.050.000.

Thermal power plant “Stanari” is a unique project in Southeast Europe.

It is foreseen that the thermal power is 300 megawatt – hours and in one year to produce two million megawatt – hours of electricity. It is expected that after the construction of thermal power plant “Stanari” to be employed about 900 workers.
