The Formula Driver car race “Sarajevo 2025” will be held in Sarajevo on May 24th and 25th on the section of the road from the roundabout on Igman to Bjelašnica, Babin Do.
The track is 2,000 meters long, and all drivers who have a “B” category driving license can participate, who will be divided into 10 classes depending on the engine capacity of the car they are competing with.
Auto 4×4 Club is organizing the Formula Driver car race “Sarajevo 2025” which will be held for two days (May 24th and 25th) and will be held as two separate races on the same track with different configurations.
Formula Driver will be organized with the aim of returning this sport to Sarajevo, which was once the largest automotive center in the former Yugoslavia, and popularizing it in Bosnia and Herzegovina. This category of motorsport is becoming increasingly popular in Europe and allows participation even by drivers who do not have a dedicated and top-of-the-line competition car.
The extremely successful Formula Driver race last year, which was held on the same track where it will be held this year, is evidence of this attractive competition format that can bring motorsport closer to a wider circle of fans. Last year, a large number of drivers took part for the first time in their lives, and thus had the opportunity to test their abilities and the limits of their cars in safe conditions, on a technically demanding and winding track.
Traffic on the R960 road from the roundabout on Igman to the entrance to Babin Do on Bjelašnica will be suspended on Saturday, May 24 and Sunday, May 25, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. It is important to note that traffic towards Babin Do and Igman will be unhindered because alternative routes are in operation, where Babin Do can be reached via a new connecting road that can be reached from the turnoff for Pendečići to the Maršal Hotel, while the roundabout connecting Igman and Bjelašnica will remain open for the entire duration of the race.
