This year’s Cinema Night in Sarajevo attracted more than 4,000 visitors!
Cinema Night, with free admission to eight cinemas in Sarajevo, was organized by Sarajevo, the UNESCO City of Film, and the City of Sarajevo for the third year in a row.
Citizens and tourists of Sarajevo had the opportunity to visit and enjoy movies at different times from 5 p.m. to midnight at the following locations: Center for Children and Youth, Cineplexx, CineStar, Dom kulture Ilidža – Kino Igman, Free Kino Valter, Kino Meeting Point, Kino Novi Grad and BiH Cinematheque.
On Wednesday, December 27, there were more than 4,000 visitors in those cinemas on Cinema Night.
“We are happy that we had the opportunity for the third time to implement a project that was recognized and successfully realized thanks to the citizens of Sarajevo and tourists who are in the city during the New Year holidays. As a gift to all of them, Cinema Night is organized by the UNESCO City of Film Sarajevo and the City of Sarajevo, together with this year’s project partners Mastercard and UNIQA Insurance, and we are pleased to say that we had an extremely successful Cinema Night this year as well. We would like to thank everyone who contributed to this project”, said Ines Radić, project manager of Sarajevo, UNESCO City of Film.
The city of Sarajevo was declared a UNESCO city of film in 2019.
As a proud member of the UNESCO Creative Cities Global Network, the City of Sarajevo, through the creative field of film, strives to offer rich and diverse cultural and film content available to all citizens and visitors of Sarajevo, supporting the holding of the Night of Cinema event.
