The second international fair of organic products and ecotourism “Organic Sarajevo 2013” will open today at the ‘Trg Djece Sarajeva’, with the participation of 58 exhibitors from 9 countries-from the field of organic production, restaurant offers, souvenirs, handicrafts and ecotourism.
It will last until 2 March.
Today, among other things, the 2nd international conference in the Foreign Trade Chamber of BiH entitled “the State and Regulation in Organic Products” is expected to be held. The study “Mapping and Access Market Potential of the Organic Sector in South East European Countries” will be presented.
Until now, representatives from these countries have confirmed: Italy, Germany, Austria, Croatia, Serbia, Macedonia, Montenegro and Albania.
Representatives of the BiH Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations will address the conference, as well as representatives of the FBiH Ministry of Agriculture, Water and Forestry and the RS Ministry of Agriculture.
According to the president of the Association of Organic Products Sejad Herceg, at the fair several meetings of expert advisory groups for organic farming at the level of countries of South East Europe will take place.
It was announced that, alongside a rich cultural program, the biggest until now organic food tasting will occur. There will also be an innovative presentation of ecotourism, culinary offers, local products, and souvenirs from BiH and the region.
