One of the first destinations that the tourists visit in Sarajevo are certainly the information centers, where they can find all information about the city. According to the records of the Info-Press Center of the Municipality Stari Grad located in the center of Bascarsija, the greatest visit was recorded during the month of August.
“We have tourists from the region coming, but also from Turkey, Italy, Spain, Canada, the USA, and even Russia. Also, a lot of our citizens that live in the diaspora visited us in July”, said Fatima Daglar from the Info-Press Center.
The tourists are most often interested in where they can taste the traditional Bosnian cuisine and which are the significant sites to visit. The 20th Sarajevo Film Festival which was held in the period from 15th to 23rd of August also contributed to the high rate of visits to the capital of B&H.

Seven hundred tourists visited the Info Center only in August, and as stated by Tarik Asceric, they show a special interest in visiting the Tunnel of Hope DB in Butmir.
“They often ask us whether the organized tours for the visit to the tunnel exist and how to get to Butmir, and many of them opt for individual visits as well. They also find the ride in the panoramic Centrotrans bus interesting”, said Asceric.
