U.S. President Donald Trump said Sunday that newly released investigative documents related to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein do not implicate him in any wrongdoing, but instead, he claims, exonerate him, according to statements he made to reporters aboard Air Force One.

Speaking during a flight to Florida, Trump addressed the public release of more than three million pages of documents related to investigations into Epstein, who was accused of running a human trafficking ring involving underage girls.

Trump said that he had not personally reviewed the documents, but that he had been informed of their content by “some very important people.”

“I haven’t seen it myself, but I’ve been told by some very important people that not only does it exonerate me, but it’s the complete opposite of what some have hoped,” Trump said, adding that the materials released contradicted the expectations of what he described as the “radical left.”

He also claimed that author Michael Wolff had collaborated with Epstein in an attempt to harm him politically, and indicated that he was considering taking legal action against Wolff.
