Trump: If they kill me, I hope the U.S. wipes Iran off the Face of the Earth

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has called for the destruction of Iran in a social media post reminiscent of his most incendiary outbursts while in the White House.

“If they kill President Trump, which is always a possibility, I hope the United States (U.S.) will destroy Iran, wipe it off the face of the Earth. If that doesn’t happen, U.S. leaders will be considered ‘soulless’ cowards,” he wrote on Truth Social.

He shared a short video alongside his comment in which Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu discusses alleged Iranian plots against Trump in Congress.

Trump’s post harks back to a controversial episode from 2019 when, as president, he threatened to “destroy” Iran if it attacked “anything American.”
