Donald Trump said divine intervention helped him survive an assassination attempt during a campaign rally in Pennsylvania and called on Americans to unite.
“Only God prevented the unthinkable from happening,” the former US president and White House candidate said on social media, urging Americans to unite in “not allowing evil to win.”
US presidential candidate Donald Trump said he was looking forward to a speech from Wisconsin, where the Republican National Convention will be held next week.
“At this time it is more important than ever that we remain united and show our true character as Americans by remaining strong and determined,” Trump said in a post on Truth Social, his social media platform, according to the agency.
It’s his second post since he was injured at a campaign rally in Pennsylvania.
