Former US President Donald Trump has said he will appeal a jury’s decision that he is guilty of falsifying business records.
“We will appeal this fraud,” Trump told reporters and supporters at Trump Tower in New York.
He was found guilty yesterday of making secret payments to Stormi Daniels to keep her quiet about their relationship ahead of the 2016 election, as well as covering up clues in his business books.
The decision of the jury before the court in Manhattan was unanimous.
Jurors found Trump guilty of making a secret payment of $130,000 to Daniels through his then-lawyer Michael Cohen. Trump and former adult film actress Stormi Daniels reportedly met in 2006.
