The best Bosnian athlete Amel Tuka won place in the 800 meters race yesterday night in the Diamond League in London. He finished the race with a time of 1: 46.25 and that was enough for the ninth position.
The first to cross the finish line was Isaiah Harris from the USA with a time of 1: 44.76, the second was Kinyamal from Kenya with a time of 1: 44.91, and the third was Peter Bol from Australia with a time of 1: 45.22.
Tuka will perform at the 12th International Athletics Rally in Zenica on July 17, and this will be his last performance before the Olympics in Tokyo.
Also, what makes the London/Gateshead Diamond League interesting is the fact that all athletes combined have a total of close to 150 world and Olympic medals among them. It gives us a sneak peek into the quality of the field, which is only second to the Tokyo Olympics 2020 in recent times.
The London/Gateshead Diamond League commenced on July 13 with the 100m mixed category and will culminate with the men’s 3,000m race.
