Tuzla Again on Feet: About 1.000 Citizens Require the Resignation of Authorities

tuzlaThe employees of companies  Grafopak, Zina, Boarc, Hotel Tuzla, members of the Plenum of Tuzla Canton and Association of Velika Djeca and informal group Udar joined today in peaceful protests the employees of Dita, Guminga, the furniture company Konjuh, Polihem and Poliolchem.

About 1.000 dissatisfied citizens gathered in front of the Cantonal Prosecution Office of Tuzla Canton and Cantonal Court, where they repeated their requests along with shouting “Thieves, thieves…”.

“Why do you protect criminals, tell us”, asked the employees.

A former unionist of the company Borac from Banovići, which operated within the company Borac from Travnik, recalled that the factory was sold for 2 BAM.

The employees of the company Zina seeks responsibility of the manager Salih Mujanović, while the employees of the Directorate for the Reconstruction of Tuzla, that is mainly owned by Municipality Tuzla, stated that privatization is implemented in their company.

“We have not received salaries for months. Shame on our Mayor, Jasmin Imamović”, said the employees of the Directorate who reminded that their problems came with the arrival of Enver Bijedić, the current Federal Minister in the position of Director.

After the gathering in front of the judicial institutions, the dissatisfied citizens went to the building of Municipality Tuzla.

Soon after the arrival of citizens, the Mayor of Municipality Jasmin Imamović came out and said:

“Tuzla is a victim of privatization. I suggest that you form a group of 10-15 representatives so that we can talk”, said Imamović, while citizens shouted “Resignation, resignation…”.

“We can talk about that as well “said Mayor Imamović, but the employees were determined to continue with their protests in front of the Tuzla Canton Assembly.

Protests in front of the legislative headquarters of Tuzla Canton government are ongoing, and citizens demand the fulfillment of their requests.
