The names of 12 candidates are on the ballot for the president and vice president of the Republic of Srpska in the general elections on October 4.
The Prime Minister of the Republika Srpska, Savo Minić, is the candidate of the SNSD for the President of the RS in the next four-year mandate.
SDS nominated party leader Branko Blanuša for the post of president, and Party “Život” nominated Bogdan Jovanović.
Ivan Begić is the candidate of the SDP BiH, Franjo Jukić is a candidate on behalf of the coalition led by the HDZ BiH, the candidate of the HDZ in 1990 is Igor Balukčić, and the candidate of the HSS is Ivo Kamenjašević, while Marko Jorgić is an independent candidate.
The candidate of the SDA is the deputy in the outgoing convocation of the National Assembly, Ramiz Salkić, the NiP nominated Jusuf Arifagić, the SBiH Begija Smajić, and the name of Ćamilo Duraković as an independent candidate is also on the ballot.
The new president of Republika Srpska will be the candidate with the most votes, while the vice presidents will be the next candidates with the most votes, all of whom must be from different constituent nations.
In general elections, the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the President and Vice-Presidents of Republika Srpska, the National Assembly of the RS, the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, deputies in the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament, and deputies in the assemblies of 10 federal cantons are elected.
