Member of the BiH Presidency, Denis Bećirović, was in London from July 2 to 5 this year, and as much as 9,150 BAM was spent on VIP lounge services at Gatwick and Heathrow airports.
It was July 2 when Denis Bećirović and his delegation landed at London’s Gatwick.
Instead of leaving the airport and heading to a hotel or some other location, they decided to first go to the airport’s VIP lounge and spend £1,380 (3,158 BAM) there.
During the three-day stay in London, the BiH delegation also rented a car, which cost 1,930 pounds (4,417 BAM).
After the meetings in London, including with British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, Bećirović’s delegation left for home on July 5.
Their flight was from London’s Heathrow airport, and the delegation decided to wait for the plane in the VIP lounge, whose services were paid for 2,640 pounds or 6,042 BAM.
Thus, 13,617 was spent on VIP lounge services and car rental for three days in London. To that figure should be added the prices of plane tickets and accommodation.
Although it is clear that high delegations have certain privileges, such as the use of VIP lounges at airports, the question of justification arises, especially in cases where it is not planned to spend a long time at the airport before the flight, not to mention going to the VIP lounge upon arrival to the destination, Klix.ba reports.
