As the U.S. Embassy said in an interview, all BiH leaders have a constitutional responsibility to ensure that citizens exercise their democratic right to vote in free, fair, and timely elections.
”Obstructions to the financing and holding of elections and threats to further the division of BiH are anti-Dayton, destabilizing, and contrary to BiH’s Euro-Atlantic path. It is time for leaders to accept responsibility for advancing real reforms, such as the rule of law and laws governing the integrity of the electoral process, that can move BiH forward and allow voters to choose who is committed to fighting corruption and working for BiH’s prosperity,” they emphasized from the U.S. embassy in BiH.
Furthermore, earlier these statements were condemned by the United Kingdom (UK) Embassy, threatening the leader of the HDZ BiH with sanctions.
”We remind every political actor who considers or threatens unilateral moves contrary to the legal and constitutional order of this country that this is a path that will only lead to increased isolation, and that such action is contrary to the interests of the citizens of this country,” they said earlier from the UK embassy.
To recall, Covic said in a letter to international officials yesterday that the Croatian National Assembly (HNS BiH) will start implementing all the conclusions from the Extraordinary Session of the HNS in BiH which were adopted on February 19th, 2022.
”And initiate all legal procedures and political steps for the new institutional and territorial organization of BiH on the principles of federalism and consociational democracy, which will ensure full constitutional equality of the Croatian constituent people in BiH,” Covic wrote in a letter to a number of international community officials, Klix.ba writes.
