Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiha said two Hungarian diplomats must leave the country within 48 hours after the SBU security agency “uncovered a spy network.”
“Two Hungarian diplomats must leave our country within 48 hours. We have just summoned the Hungarian ambassador to the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry and handed him a corresponding note,” Sibiha wrote on the social network “X”.
He added that this was a reciprocal response to Hungary’s action and was in the national interest of Ukraine.
The Hungarian government had previously announced that it had expelled two spies who had been working under the cover of the Ukrainian Embassy in Budapest.
