Citing the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), UN spokesman Stephane Dujarric told a news conference that Israeli military operations have continued, including in the Rimal and Zaitoun neighborhoods in Gaza City, worsening an already dire humanitarian situation.

Dujarric stressed that many people are unable to leave northern Gaza due to insecurity, adding that civilians are “sleeping in the open and struggling to survive, facing severe food and shelter shortages.”

“Today, the UN Satellite Centre released a preliminary analysis showing that 83 percent of structures in Gaza City alone have been damaged. Some 81,000 housing units have been damaged,” Dujarric said.

These operations are now in their tenth month.

OCHA also reported that some farmers in Nablus, Salfit and Qalqiliyya have been unable to harvest their crops due to physical attacks by Israeli settlers. According to the report, more than 1,200 illegal attacks have been recorded since the beginning of the year, damaging more than 17,000 trees and seedlings.
