The United Nations (UN) Special Rapporteur on Palestine, Francesca Albanese, has stated that the introduction of an arms embargo and economic sanctions against Israel is the only way to prevent the ongoing genocide in the Gaza Strip.
“The only way to stop the genocide in Gaza is an arms embargo and economic sanctions on Israel. Ceasefire now,” Albanese said on social network X, sharing a post that UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres met with Palestinians whose families were killed in Gaza.
Two days ago, the Permanent Mission of Palestine to the UN gathered a Palestinian group of ten people who lost family members in the Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip, and they met with Guterres and members of the UN Security Council.
