Unit of the AF of BiH in the Republic of Slovenia was declared the most productive

The unit of the temporary composition of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which has been on a humanitarian mission since August 14, i.e. helping the civilian population threatened by the recent floods in the Republic of Slovenia, has recently been declared the most productive unit in the mission.

The unit is engaged in the rehabilitation of the Meža riverbed in the municipality of Preljevo and these days it has been reinforced with engineering machinery.

Through their selfless engagement, they won the trust and support of the local population, civil government structures, and colleagues from other countries.

After the representatives of the local community, who have a concession for the management of the Maze River, performed control over the completed works on the part of the riverbed of this river, outside the area of engagement of our temporary Unit, they exclusively requested the engagement of our members for the complete completion of the works, due to exceptional trust.

In accordance with the rules for the use of resources in this humanitarian mission, the Unit of the temporary composition of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina is also engaged in the remaining activities related to the arrangement of the Meža River bed, which were successfully implemented, to the satisfaction of both parties.

The most responsible representatives of civil authorities in the Republic of Slovenia expressed a high degree of gratitude and respect for our members. H.E. Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia in BiH Sedar Damja, Deputy Mayor of Ravne na Koroške Erjavec Andrej and Director of Civil Protection of this municipality Kaker Branko organized a reception for members of our Unit on August 27.

On that occasion, the officials thanked and recognized all members of the temporary composition unit of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina for their exceptional sacrifice and selfless contribution to help the population at risk from floods, announced the Public Relations Office of the Ministry of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
