US Strikes on Yemen kill Thirty Five as Migrant Detention Centre hit

At least 35 people were killed and 50 others injured in US airstrikes on a shelter for African migrants in Yemen’s northern Saada province, the Houthi group said.

The bodies of another 30 people were missing after the attack, the Houthi-affiliated Al-Masirah television reported.

The Houthi-controlled Interior Ministry said the strikes targeted a reception center housing 115 migrants of African origin.

The United States has not yet commented on the attack.

Early Monday, Al Masirah TV reported that a US airstrike killed eight people in the Bani al-Harith district, located north of Yemen’s capital, Sanaa.

According to Houthi officials, US forces also launched strikes on Yemen’s Amran and Saada governorates on Sunday night. Additionally, two people were killed in an earlier strike on Sanaa.

Al Masirah noted that the attack on the Thaqban area in Bani al-Harith claimed the lives of “eight martyrs, including women and children.”
