Valentin Inzko Scheduled Second Meeting on Appointment of Judges

INCKO ZVANI?NA FOTOGRAFIJA-2The High Representative Valentin Inzko will hold a second meeting in Sarajevo today on the appointment of judges for the FBiH Constitutional Court, where the FBIH judges are expected to provide concrete progress in the appointment of judges to vacancies in the FBIH Constitutional Court.

At the first meeting held on 3 April, they revealed the areas in which it is possible to reach an agreement, and Inzko then invited his counterparts from the FBiH to further explore these possibilities.

He said that today’s meeting will be considered a failure if the participants do not reach an agreement that provides for a small number of judicial vacancies, and clearly do not determine how to further proceed with the appointment of judges to unfilled places.

After years of delay, today is time for the officials responsible for the appointment of judges to the FBiH to finally reach an agreement.

Participation was confirmed by: Živko Budimir, President of the FBiH, Svetozar Pudarić, Vice-President of the FBIH, Mirsad Kebo, Vice-President of the FBiH, Radoje Vidović, Chairman of FBIH House of Peoples, Jasmin Smailbegović, Deputy Chairman of FBIH House of Peoples, Amir Zukić, Head of the Club of Bosniaks in the FBIH House of Peoples, Mira Ljubljankić, Head of the Club of Serbs in the FBiH House of Peoples and Luka Faletar, Head of the House of Croats in the FBIH House of Peoples.

The meeting will begin at 14:00, in a statement from OHR.
