Verdict overturned for Murder of Sarajevo Police Officers

The Supreme Court of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina overturned the verdict for the murder of Sarajevo policemen Adis Šehović and Davor Vujinović, by which Savo Marinković and Aleksandar Macan were sentenced to 45 and 15 years in prison, it was confirmed for BHRT.

According to the decision of the Supreme Court, they will be tried again, and their detention will be extended for another two months.

We remind you that Savo Marinković was sentenced to a single prison sentence of 45 years, and Aleksandar Macan was sentenced to 15 years.

The third defendant for the murder of the Sarajevo policemen, Marko Trifković, was previously sentenced to 15 years in prison after pleading guilty.

Marinković and Macan are accused of being caught trying to steal a car on Geteova Street in the Alipašino Polje neighborhood of Sarajevo on October 26, 2018, around 4:20 a.m.

They opened fire on the police officers, firing at least 20 rounds.
