The announcement of the veterans of the Police Detachment for Special Purposes “Bosna” was again shared on social networks, inviting citizens to a peaceful gathering that was planned for yesterday, September 24th at 8.30 a.m. in front of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) in Sarajevo, ahead of a new hearing in the case of war unit commander Dragan Vikic.
It was written: “Tomorrow, September 24th, at 8.30 a.m. in front of the Court of BiH. Greetings and civil support to our Commander Dragan Vikic. Good luck our commander, to the final victory, ” told Samir Cajic Caja, one of the veterans of the Police Detachment for Special Purposes “Bosna”, known from the legendary video” Soldier of Luck”.
To recall, on January 13th, 2017, the Court of BiH confirmed the Indictment charging the accused Dragan Vikic, Jusuf Pusina, Nermin Uzunovic, and Mladen Covcic with the criminal offense of war crimes against prisoners of war.
“The indictment charges the accused that during the war and the armed conflict in BiH in April 1992 between members of the armed forces of the BiH Army and units of territorial defense and JNA reserve units placed under the unified command of the Army of Republika Srpska (VRS) stationed in the barracks in Lukavica, Nermin Uzunovic and Mladen Covcic, in their capacity as members of the reserve unit of the Special Unit, together with members of the Special Unit familiar to them and members of the reserve unit, committed the murder of captured members of the VRS.
Dragan Vikic, as Commander of the Militia Detachment – Special Unit of the Republic of BiH (RBiH) MUP and Commander of the Reserve Units of the RBiH MUP Special Unit and Jusuf Pusina, as Assistant Minister for Uniformed Police of the RBiH MUP, are assumed to know or could have known that their subordinates were preparing to commit the crime of murder of prisoners of war, failed to prevent the commission of the crime, or to take necessary and reasonable measures to punish the perpetrators, ” it was announced by the Court of BiH earlier, Radio Sarajevo writes.
