Volunteers of the Red Cross of the City of Bihac and Una-Sana Canton (USK) still distributed meals for more than 900 migrants and refugees at the Lipa site near Bihac.

”We continue to divide the two daily meals. As today’s first meal we shared boiled eggs, canned fish, hot tea, oranges and five liters of water. The situation is definitely a little better, thanks to the BiH Service for Foreigners Affairs and police officers, who have finally established some order here. I must also mention the significant help of non-governmental and humanitarian organizations, and I hope that the tents will be ready soon,” said the Secretary of the Red Cross of the City of Bihac, Selam Midzic.

Migrants and refugees have been a little calmer in recent days, but still eagerly awaiting more adequate accommodation and living space.

”We are waiting patiently, because we now have two daily meals. People visit us more often and think a little more about us. We really hope that everything they promised us will come true soon,” said Muhammad from Afghanistan.

The preparation of tents by the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the temporary accommodation of these people, has begun, until the completion of construction works in the camp itself. Beds and mattresses arrived yesterday, and very soon it is expected to solve the problems with the supply of electricity and water, and the way to heat the tents
