Serbian Democracy leader Aleksandar Arsenijević was arrested on the promenade in Kosovska Mitrovica, to which Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić reacted.
Today, he met with the European mediator for dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, Miroslav Lajčak, and the US ambassador in Belgrade, Christopher Hill.
He announced that he will address the public in the next 72 hours and that he will talk about what Serbia “requires because of the essential and brutal attack on the Serbian population in the north of Kosovo.”
It should be expected, he added, that during October he will appear before the National Assembly with far-reaching proposals.
“We have to fight for the position of Serbia in the world, to look for allies. We will work on this plan and everything possible in this matter, but now it is completely clear to us that Kurti wants the destruction of the Serbian people and the persecution of the Serbian people, and I think that is not clear only to us, but also to everyone else,” Vučić believes.
He also mentioned that he will have many important meetings.
“With serious measures and serious matters, we will contact you within 72 hours,” repeated Vučić.
He emphasized that Serbia is always in favor of dialogue and that he is ready even today to go to talk with Kurti and to have a dialogue in Brussels.
“But Serbia is not ready, and as I have already said countless times, it will not allow the persecution of its population, and it is quite clear that this is the only goal of Kurti’s government,” noted the President of Serbia.
Incidentally, the arrest is allegedly connected with the arrival of Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti in the northern part of Mitrovica, Klix.ba writes.
