According to the Crime Index published by the Numbeo World Database, Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) is the 60th safest country in the world. The first place belongs to Qatar.
Numbeo is one of the largest and most famous online databases in the world that deals with the assessment of the level of crime and security in the countries of the world by measuring the crime rate of murders, robberies, rapes, etc.
According to the security list, BiH has 57.1 points out of a possible 100. On last year’s list, BiH was in 57th place. Regarding crime, BiH has 42.9 points. According to Numbeo, corruption and bribery are still burning problems in BiH. When it comes to the possibility of attacks due to racial, ethnic or sexual orientation, according to Numbeo, BiH is one of the better ranked countries in the world with an index of 28.6.
Qatar tops this list for the fifth year in a row. Taking over this position from Japan in 2018, Qatar has 85.2 points. United Arab Emirates (84.9), Taiwan (83.8), British Isle of man (82), Oman (80.3), Hong Kong (78.5), Armenia (78), Japan (76.9), Switzerland (76.4) and Bahrain (76) are in the top 10.
Of the countries in the region, Slovenia is 11th (75.8), Croatia 14th (75.4), Serbia 47th (61.8), Montenegro 50th (60.2), North Macedonia 53rd (59.1 ), and Albania 68. (54.3).
The last five countries are Honduras (25.8), South Africa (24.6), Afghanistan (21.4), Papua New Guinea (20.1), and Venezuela (17.4).
