“By this decree, on the 14th of May 2016 from 00:00 am until 8:00 pm, is temporarily prohibited work of all restaurants and catering facilities, while restaurants of accommodation type (hotels, hostels, etc.) are forbidden to serve alcoholic beverages in the entire area of Banja Luka,” according to the Decree.
Restaurants and hotels are allowed “to provide all services for already contracted and reserved ceremonies.”
The sale of alcoholic drinks is forbidden in shops, supermarkets and drugstores in the city. The decree was issued at the request of the Security Staff of the Ministry of Interior of RS whose task it, as stated, to ensure peaceful maintenance of public gathering – protest in the area of the Park “Mladen Stojanovic” and meeting on the Krajina Square.
