Witness of Survival: The War Bicycle keeps the Memory of besieged Sarajevo

“If we talk about bicycles, than we have to talk about the war.” – said Irfan Selman who spent the whole war in Sarajevo. His war bicycle saved his life several times during the war years in Sarajevo. He now donated his bicycle to the Historical Museum of B&H.

It is now a part of the permanent exhibition “Besieged Sarajevo”.

Since the capital of B&H was besieged 1.425 days, the citizens had to find many ways to survive the hardest period of their lives.
