Despite stereotypes, she managed to become a bus driver and she is one of the very few women who are doing this in BiH.
She is employed in one of the companies that is engaged in the transport of passengers in Banja Luka. The support of her family meant a lot to her in the realization of her desire, and she assumes that without that, a man cannot do anything. According to her, it was not easy for her at all, she needed a lot of money and “nerves”, as well as studying.
Now, after she accomplished her dreams, she does not have the problem to travel to work from Prijedor to Banja Luka.
She said that there were different reactions of passengers, from those who were delighted, to those who were afraid of the fact that a woman would drive them.
Dragana Sajinovic is also glad that her working colleagues have accepted her since the day one. Due to the fact that she was interested in mechanics since her childhood, she can perform numerous mechanical repairs by herself, and changing tires is “easy peasy” for her since she can replace it on the truck as well.
Behind her is a dozen years of driving experience, she never had a problem driving other cars, and she has no problem with the bus either. She was never involved in a traffic accident, and there were situations in which she managed to avoid them.
