Workers at the Goražde-based industrial company “Ginex” stopped production today, due to the Supervisory Board’s refusal to increase their hourly wage in accordance with the collective agreement in the metal industry.
As Fena has learned, the workers’ revolt occurred after the Supervisory Board, at today’s telephone session, rejected the Management’s proposal to increase the hourly wage to 6.15 BAM for a period of six months.
Unofficially, the Supervisory Board stuck to the proposal for a 20 percent increase, along with a reduction in personal coefficients, which is unacceptable for the workers.
The workers say they will not return to their jobs until the Supervisory Board arrives.
