Unique, world famous and long traditional, the Una regatta will be held for the 50th time. This year, the tourist, sports and entertainment event gathers many visitors who start sailing from Martin Brod. The organizer is NP Una, and for the next three days the water caravan will pass Bihać and Cazin and arrive in Bosanska Krupa.
Acting the director of the Una National Park, Alen Zulić, said that everything is ready – aggregates, tents have been provided, security aspects have been worked out, and a rich cultural and entertainment program has been prepared.
Zulić pointed out that the registration fee is free, as is the program content during the entire caravan.
“We expect about thousands of participants. This is the first stage, it may not be that interesting, except that at the beginning it is important as such. We know that the stage Štrbački buk – Bihać is special, that the arrival of the caravan in Bihać is probably the most beautiful picture we send”, said Zulić.
Participants come from almost all continents, adds Zulić: “They are mostly European Union countries, our own, Croatia is close by – it is not far for them to come to us. The 50th Una regatta justifies the name international”.
“To be a resident of the city of Bihać, Una-Sana Canton, to take part in all this, as a participant or to help the organization in any way – is a big deal. Being at the head of an organization is a great honor, a great responsibility. We have been in such business for a long time. The team is integrated. However, the 50th time is only once and we will really do our best to make sure everything goes as it should”, Federalna writes.
