Zelensky claims: Russia attacked Poland

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said today that Russia attacked Poland with 92 drones on the night of September 10, and only 19 drones managed to cross the Polish border, while the rest were shot down.

Flying drones

“92 drones were flying towards Poland. We shot them all down. 19 of them arrived. Yes, we shot them down on Ukrainian territory, of course. We can say that they were flying towards us, but we see the direction and, as they say, the choreography of this flight… Four were shot down by the Poles. I am not comparing our forces. We are at war, they are not at war,” Zelensky said at a press briefing, Ukrinform reports.

He added that the “Patriot” system delivered from Israel has been operating in Ukraine for a month.

“The Israeli Patriot complex has been operating in Ukraine for a month. In the fall, we will receive two Patriot systems,” Zelensky said, noting that he did not want to provide more details on this topic, Tanjug reports.

He also stressed that Kiev would respond adequately if Russia tried to cause a power outage in Ukraine during the winter.

“If Russia sets the goal of a power outage in Ukraine every winter, then I am not sure that the response of Ukraine and its partners should be different. Russia should know that civilized countries differ from savage ones in that they never start first, they are not aggressors, but this does not mean that they are weak… If they threaten a power outage in the capital of Ukraine, then the Kremlin should know that a power outage will also occur in the capital of Russia,” Zelensky said, Tanjug reports.

Spoke with the president

He noted that he discussed this issue with US President Donald Trump during a meeting in New York.

Zelensky stressed that Trump’s pressure is needed to force Russia to negotiate.

“A matter of time. We don’t want to waste time because we are losing people. I’m talking about our people, definitely not the enemy. And this is important for us. For this, we need pressure from America, President Trump, to bring the Russians to the negotiating table,” he stressed.

Zelensky noted that “if we manage to switch to diplomacy, then we will resolve all other issues exclusively in the format of negotiations.”
