Zenica: 500 Young Sportsman at the “Kengur Cup”

kengur-kup-poceo-500x300Zenica – The basketball club “Kengur” from Zenica is about to host next weekend the 16th international basketball tournament for young sportsman “Kengur Cup 2014” where 42 teams from Slovenia, Hungary, Croatia and B&H will perform.

“At this year’s Cup we expect more than 500 girls and boys to participate, but what’s most important is the quality of this event dedicated to youth and sport” – said the president and coach of the BC “Kengur”, Enver Jahić.

So far, more than 6 000 young sportsman from 15 European countries participated at the “Kengur Cup”, and this year, the competitions will be held on 8 fields where, during the three days of competition, 69 matches will be played.

This year’s Kengur Cup will be officialy open on Friday. The match to open it is between Čelik and Nets while the final matches will be played at the City Arena.
