Zenica GSS travel to the Russian Federation for the surviving Mountaineers

The leaders of the Zenica Mountain Rescue Service will leave Sarajevo Airport today for Istanbul, from where they will continue their journey to the Russian Federation by plane. In the town of Mineraljnye Vody, they will take over two surviving members of the GSS who were part of the seven-member Zenica expedition to Elbrus.

In addition to Ahmetović, the delegation will also include the head of the GSS Zenica, Kenan Hrustanović, and a medical technician, who will be at the service of the injured Haris Adilović and Kemal Vidimlić if they need medical assistance during transport.

“I can’t tell you anything more until we return from Russia. That’s what we agreed on. Adilović and Vidimlić will come with us, while the bodies of the five deceased will later be returned to the country. We don’t know if the autopsy has been done yet, we’ll see all that when we get to the scene,” announced Ahmetović.

We remind you that due to the tragic death of five mountaineers from Zenica on Mount Elbrus, today is a Day of Mourning in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. We remind you that yesterday, as a sign of remembrance, the people of Zenica released flowers into the Bosna River and ran through the city streets, Fena writes.
