Chairman Zvizdic thanked for the previous cooperation and stated that the arrangement with the IMF is important because it involves segments that besides financial assistance are also including technical and expert assistance, as well as structural reforms that will be implemented by all levels of government in BiH. He noted that the Council of Ministers of BiH implements measures that are defined by the Letter of Intent and added that there is a general commitment for reforms that strengthen the legislative and technical framework of BiH.
Minister of Finance and Treasury of BiH Vjekoslav Bevanda said that all the agreed commitments are fulfilled and activities on the development of next year’s budget are currently taking place. He said that he expects BiH to have a budget by the end of the current year.
Executive Director Lannoy and Director of department for Europe Thomsen agreed that BiH achieved good progress and that the implementation of the agreed tasks is going in a positive direction.
The meetings were attended by the Governor of the Central Bank of BiH Senad Softic, the Ambassador of BiH to the United States Haris Hrle and entity prime ministers and finance ministers, as announced from the Council of Ministers of BiH.
