“No one can break the iron friendship between China and Serbia. We are loyal people, and we are grateful to you for always standing by Serbia when it was in trouble. Serbia will stand by China even when the People’s Republic of China is in trouble.”

“In China, we say that mountains cannot meet, but people can. In China, we say that great geographical distances cannot separate people when there are mutual affinities,” the Chinese president said.
Xi said that Serbia was committed to independence and defended its sovereignty, territorial integrity and national dignity, and that the country deserves the respect of the international community.
“The steely friendship between our countries has only strengthened, even in this changing international dynamic. This friendship is rooted in history, and indeed it enjoys strong political foundations, common interests and firm support of the people,” Xi said.
In the end, he said that China wants to work with Serbia and continue in the spirit of “steel friendship”.
“We will work together with Serbia, to defend our fundamental and long-term, long-term interests.
