Read which Parts of Sarajevo will be closed due to Marathon (Map)

During the Sarajevo Sberbank Half marathon which will take place this morning, the traffic in the capital will be closed, depending on the runners.

Most importantly, there will be no continuous suspension of traffic in Sarajevo, which means that Sarajevo city center will not be completely blocked.

Half marathon route:

M. Tita (Start – BBI centar) – Alipašina – Patriotske lige Koševo- Stadium Koševo (first circe inside the stadium) – Patriotske lige – Alipašina – Maršala Tita ka Marijin dvoru (to Alta shoppin center until Suada D bridge.) – Wilson’s Promenade –Franje Račkog Street – Wilson’s Promenade – Fra Filipa Lastrića – Wilson’s Promenade – Vrbanja bridge -Hiseta- Obala Kulina bana – Bentbaša – Dariva (Aleja Ambasadora until Kozja Ćuprije) Ambassadors Alley– Bentbaša – Telali – Mula Mustafe Bašeskije – Maršala Tita (Finish Line- BBI centar)

Organizers noted that when a race is completed in one zone, hence one part of the city, the traffic will be released, thus there will be no traffic jams.

The Half marathon will officially start at 9 am in front of the BBI shopping center, and the deadline for the passage through the goal is three hours.
