Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina should consider today the proposal of the annual BiH National Program 2018-2019.

This proposal was removed from the agenda of the Council of Ministers’ Session which took place on December 27th.

In short, proposal is about conditions for BiH Membership Action Plan (MAP) in NATO be activated.

Minister of Security in the Council of Ministers, Dragan Mektic, said that, in the process of determining the agenda of the session, Minister of Foreign Affairs Igor Crnadak and he agreed to remove it from agenda and not discuss it.

As a reason why he was against it to be discussed at the Council of Ministers session, he said that formal-legal conditions were not met for this item to be found on the agenda as the NATO Integration Commission for BiH did not complete its work.

The session of the NATO Commission for BiH Integration Process, scheduled for December 20th, was not held due to the lack of quorum, after Serbian members were invited by Republika Srpska President Zeljka Cvijanovic, not to participate in its work.

The adoption of the annual national plan for NATO will also set the pace for forming a new convocation of the BiH Council of Ministers. Namely, members of the Presidency of BiH, Zeljko Komsic and Sefik Dzaferovic, have said they will not support the appointment of a new SNSD mandate by Zoran Tegeljtija until the adoption of the NATO Annual Plan.

The session will take place at 10:30 o’clock.
