Minister of Defense of Bosnia-Herzegovina Sifet Podzic met on Monday with Ambassador of the Republic of Northern Macedonia to BiH, Ekrem Ebibi, with whom he discussed the continuation of successful bilateral defense cooperation between the two countries, emphasizing the need to strengthen regional co-operation and experience on the path to Euro-Atlantic integration.
Minister Podzic expressed his welcome and gratitude to Ambassador Ebibi for the friendly relations between the two countries.
He expressed satisfaction with the good bilateral defense cooperation between the two countries since 2006. This cooperation is promoted through cooperation within the Regional Public Relations Center in Skopje and the Training Center for Peace Support Operations in Butmir – Sarajevo, participation in joint exercises, regional initiatives, through exchange experiences and others.
Minister Podzic thanked the Ministry of Defense of Northern Macedonia for accepting the training of pilots and cadets of the Armed Forces of BiH at its military academies, and for supporting the Armed Forces of BiH representative in the Balkan Medical Task Force (BMTF).
Ambassador Ebibi stressed that the bilateral relations between the two countries in the field of defense are high, and expressed confidence that cooperation will continue to be strengthened. He stressed that the two countries share common strategic goals for the EU membership.
