161 Cases of Coronavirus recorded in Sarajevo

After laboratory testing of 933 samples, 161 new cases of coronavirus infection were confirmed in the Sarajevo Canton last day.
In the same period, 108 of our fellow citizens recovered from the coronavirus infection. Unfortunately, one person died as a result of this infection.

There are currently 189 patients in hospital, 124 of whom have an acute infection, while the rest are post covid or under observation. 108 patients are treated at the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo, and 60 at the General Hospital “Prim.dr. Abdulah Nakas”. Three patients are on a respirator, while five of them use oxygen support to breathe above 15 liters per minute.

Today, Sarajevo Canton records 833 active cases of coronavirus infection. There are currently 1,959 people in self-isolation. Since the beginning of the pandemic in the Sarajevo Canton, a total of 55,186 people have been infected with the coronavirus and 53,034 have been cured.

According to the data of the Institute of Public Health of CS, in the past seven days the average number of infected is 118, while the weekly incidence, ie the number of patients per 100,000 inhabitants, is 197.
