No Deaths reported in Canton Sarajevo

The results of the analysis of 283 samples confirmed 24 new cases of coronavirus infection in Sarajevo Canton. Of that number of newly infected, 18 or 75 percent of them belong to family clusters, and are in self-isolation from before, according to this morning’s report from the Public Health Institute of Canton Sarajevo.

These are the results of the analysis conducted in the past 24 hours, on samples collected in the period from 27 to 29 August this year.

During yesterday, the recovery of 42 people was recorded. There are currently 430 people tested positive for coronavirus in Sarajevo Canton, which is still a decline in the total number of people suffering from this contagious disease.

The Isolation of the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo accommodates 39 people. One patient uses respiratory support when breathing. In the past 24 hours, there were no deaths, and the total number of deaths from coronavirus infection in Sarajevo Canton is 69.

Based on the decision of the inspection, the recommendation of the epidemiologist or the decision of the Ministry of Health of Canton Sarajevo, there are currently 987 people in self-isolation. According to the CS Public Health Institute, the presence of coronavirus in 3,911 people has been confirmed in the Sarajevo Canton since the beginning of the pandemic, and 3,412 people have recovered from the consequences of the infection.
