17.3 million USD for new Energy Efficiency Projects in BiH

The Green Climate Fund provided $17.3 million for new energy efficiency project that will contribute to the shift from fossil fuels to renewable energy sources, create new jobs and decrease air pollution in the long-term, which will also protect the health of citizens in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The total value of the eight-year project Increasing Investment in Public Buildings with Low Carbon Emissions in Bosnia and Herzegovina is worth $122.5 million and it will be implemented by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in partnership with domestic institutions.

Resident Representative of UNDP Bosnia and Herzegovina Sezin Sinanoglu and Minister of Urban Planning, Construction and Ecology of the Republic of Srpska Srebrenka Golic will host a media conference on Wednesday and more information on the project Increasing investment in public buildings with low carbon emissions in BiH will be available, the UNDP said.
