Industrial Production in Bosnia and Herzegovina records Decrease

Industrial production in Bosnia and Herzegovina in the three quarters of 2020 is lower by 8.2 percent compared to the same period last year, the Agency for Statistics of BiH stated in the press release.

In September this year, compared to the same month last year, industrial production decreased by 3.7 percent, while compared to August, it recorded a growth of 3.8 percent.

In September, compared to August, the production of non-durable consumer goods increased by 8.8 percent, intermediate goods by 4.2 percent, durable consumer goods by 2.7 percent, capital goods by 0.4 percent, while energy production is down 5.1 percent.

Production of durable consumer goods in September this year compared to the same month last year increased by 9.6 percent, capital goods increased by 3.8 percent, while the production of intermediate goods decreased by five percent, non-durable consumer goods decreased by 5.1 percent, and energy decreased by 5.8 percent.

Industrial production in September, compared to August, in the area of manufacturing increased by four percent, in mining and quarrying increased by 0.2 percent, while in the area of production and supply of electricity and gas decreased by 1.2 percent .

In September, compared to the same month last year, industrial production, adjusted in calendar terms, recorded a decline in manufacturing by 2.7 percent, in mining and quarrying by 4.1 percent, and in production and supply of electricity and gas by 7.3 percent.
