23 Years Ago People From Tuzla Opposed the Aggressor

Tuzla April nap.baOn the occasion of 4th of April 1992, the date of special significance for the recent history of Tuzla, the City Administration organized a ceremony of laying flowers at the memorial at Slana Banja, followed by a formal session of the City Council of the City of Tuzla.

Representatives of the town of Tuzla, numerous organizations, and many citizens laid flowers at the monument to Partisan Brigade and the monument to ‘Zlatni Ljiljani’. Afterwards, wreaths have been laid at the memorial to fallen soldiers of Tuzla, B&H from 1992 to 1995, as well as at the cemetery of civilian victims of war.

The solemn session of the Tuzla City Council was opened by Deputy Chairman Nada Mladina.

Guests were addressed by the Mayor Jasmin Imamovic, who recalled on April 04th 1992 in his speech and pointed out that this day is one of the most important dates in the recent history of the city. He thanked all the participants in the defense of Tuzla and sent congratulations on the occasion of the 4th of April to all the citizens.

Thereafter, the ceremony lineup of the members of citizens’ association of demobilized officers “Manevarac” and demobilized members of the 1st Maneuver Troop Mosnik, and laying of flowers at the memorial sites have been done.
