On Saturday, the 23rd International Scouting Competition “Mostar Meeting 2023”, organized by the Association of Scouts of the City of Mostar, was officially opened on the Spanish Square. The competition was opened by the President of the City Council, Salem Marić.
The competition has a record number of registered teams (85), with around 500 scouts from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Serbia and Macedonia.
It is a unique opportunity to promote the scouting organization, and the competitors pass control points throughout the city and thus have the opportunity to get to know the sights of the city, the organizers pointed out.
The competition takes place in two categories: the Cheerful Olympics for pole hunters and bees (ages 7-11 years) and the scout all-around for younger scouts and mountaineers (ages 11-15 years).
