24,000 Doses of Pfizer Vaccines to arrive to Bosnia on March 24th

The long-awaited news from COVAX arrived at the address of the Ministry of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina on Saturday.

The arrival of 24,000 doses of diluent for March 23 has been officially confirmed, while 23,400 doses of BioNTech / Pfizer vaccine will arrive on March 24, 2021.

The Ministry of Civil Affairs pointed out that it would inform the public with more information immediately upon receipt of the data. The exact time of arrival of vaccines depends on the flights to Sarajevo on which they will be shipped to BiH.

The Klix portal reminds that the agony around the delivery of vaccines through the COVAX system lasted for a long time, which was quite slow.

Due to this fact, the authorities of the BiH entities have decided to directly procure vaccines that have not yet arrived in the Federation of BiH.

As Foreign Minister Bisera Turkovic announced earlier, vaccines from COVAX will arrive in three rounds – on March 23, March 29 and April 22.

The priority group for receiving the first vaccines that arrive in FBiH will be health workers and residents of caretaking facilities, as well as the staff of nursing homes.
