24th Anniversary: No one was held responsible for killing 100 People

13090008_1763766747193335_753588463_nYesterday was marked the 24th anniversary of destruction of the bridge on Sava River in Brcko. At the 30th of April 1992, 10 minutes to 5 am was activated explosive in a car that was brought to the bridge, 50 meters from Brcko bank of Sava River. People were passing by at that moment, mostly Bosnian workers in Western Europe. According to all available data, between 70 and 100 people were killed that day.

Ramiz Ahmetovic, president of the Association of families of missing, forcefully taken and killed Bosniaks of Brcko District, who organized the marking of this important date in cooperation with the Association of detainees of Brcko District, while commenting on the fact that the indictment has not been filed yet, stated that nothing more is expected.

“That day was made site investigation by then police, the remains of those killed were picked up in three coffins and transported to the hospital morgue. There were lost all of their traces,” he said.

Several hundred people laid wreaths on the bridge and threw flowers into the river.
